My experience includes years of working with children and families. I have provided services in schools, homes, residential facilities and outpatient clinics. Additionally, I address anger management issues, adjustment problems (divorce, birth of a sibling), ADHD, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavior concerns (home/school), child development concerns, depression, domestic violence and its impact on children and self-esteem. My counseling style is creative and playful. By engaging my clients' five senses, strategies are learned to help them calm themselves down. I collaborate with parents and assist them in developing effective parenting techniques, which helps the entire family system improve. Some of my treatment approaches include cognitive behavior therapy, play therapy, AutPlay Therapy and social skills training. Working with children who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder is a special interest of mine and I am a Certified AutPlay Therapy Level 2 provider.
